This is my first post here;
I'm also new to zimbra, have installed it yesterday in a fresh debian 4 install; it's working fine and I'm thinking seriously about using it as the main mail server of our organization.
I'd like to make two questions that will help me to think about using zimbra, if you can help me I would appreciate.
1) can I use zimbra's default mysql server and apache server to run another software, like joomla or any other php/mysql pages?? I could not find httpd root directory to try to install other software. I have read that I could install another mysql, because zimbra's one is running on a non default port; but If I could not use zimbra's httpd server, would I install another?? I know I would have to chance zimbra's httpd server port from 80 to another, or use https to read email... but would that work?
2) My organization have today about 60 email users, but I plan to have a box for at least 100-150 users; my box today has not a very sophisticated hardware, but I'd like to know wether it works for me or not: I'm using an Intel Pentium D (dual core), 1Gb RAM, 80G sata HD. for now no raid and not much disk space for users; but what I'd like to know is: with this box can I have 100 users? the load of the box (cpu and memory use) is very high with 30 simultaneous users??? do you have any table for calculating users X hardware requirements (ammount of memory per user, disk space, etc)??
well, thanks a lot and congratulations for the excellent software that you have here!
