as I'm pretty fascinated about the overall functionality of zimbra I'm trying to set up a zimbra home server for my family,
by now a combination of postfix/dovecot/procmail/spamassassin is handling this job.
So far I understand that with zimbra I additionally need an own dns server and a domain with correct A/MX records set.
What I have so far is:
- a server sitting behind a router which means a need a splitdns configuration
(Split DNS - Zimbra :: Wiki)
- a dyndns account pointing at my home server (xyz.homeip.net)
- a so far unused domain hosted by strato
The question now is how to bring this all together.
At strato I can specify mx and a records for my domain,
but only with IP's and not with domains like in my case xyz.homeip.net.
Could someone give me some tipps how to handle this problem?
