Default Fedora Core 4 vs RH Enterprise 4

I have my network trial "kit" and I have an "open source" server

    I don't have RH Enterprise 4 - but I do have Fedora Core 4 -
will the network trial kit install on that version or should I petition the central IT folks for a license to test this?

is the LDAP clustering the only thing that won't work?

While you're waiting for the IT 'folks' why don't you get CentOS 4.2, it's the same as RHEL4 and it runs Zimbra extremely well.

There is little difference between RHEL4 Workstation and Fedora Core 4 if you are just running a zimbra server.

You get more stability and web-based mgt options with RHEL, that's all really.

I have many of both kinds of hosts- work pays for the RHEL, and I use the free Fedora. In many ways fedora is better for testing things, and running a stable production server with support is better with RHEL.

    YMMV.

The RHEL4 build won't run on FC4. It does, however, run on FC3.
