About "zmcontrol status"
I am somewhat confused about one thing.I started zimbra server by typing "zmcontrol start"everythin started successfully. Now if i am giving command "zmcontrol status",it shows me that "logger" & "snmp" are stopped.I want to know whether it's ok or i am doing something wrong.
start returning successfully means that the startup commands ran ok - but the service could have died immediately after.
If logger and snmp are down, it's likely that /var/log/zimbra.log isn't readable by the zimbra user.
What's in /tmp/swatch.out?
it's working now after i change the permission to zimbra.log to 777.but shouldn't this permission be more restrictive?
thanks by the way...
If you want it more restrictive, chown it to zimbra, and change the permissions.
