    Default Zimbra RHEL5 64bit x86

    Hi;
    I'm testing the Zimbra 5.06 (32bit x86) on CENTOS 5. My university staff email is running on Openwebmail. If things run smoothly under the current testing, we might move to Zimbra running on 64bit x86.Does any body use Zimbra in their production environment? We've about 400 staff. The currrent server has 4 cores Xeon processor, 8 GB RAM and 4x 750GB SATA drives.

    Rgds;

    Would be better to run on SAS h/disk, right?

    Well, of course. That being said, SATA will work just fine. And since you've got 4, you can run a nice RAID 10 setup. That system should more than handle the load of 400 users. We're running RH5 x64 version here, with a wasteful amount of hardware behind it, but I've got a clustered storage for my mailstore.

    Hi Matnor,

    Your hw spec more than enough..
    For HDD RAID better RAID 10.
    We have implementation in local univ with 1k - 2k with cluster and multinode env.

    check your PM
    Would be happy to help you plan and migrate..

    Thank you for the offer. We'll manage on our own for now.

    Can I disable the Advanced Version by default and enable it to certain user only?

    matnor,

    What do you mean "Advanced Version"?
    Is it feature list. You want to enable different features and setting to group of users?
    If that is the case, try using COS (Class of Service) setting. You can group user based on cos.
