    Are you running it as root? Is 1.5 the default java version? (Have you adjusted the symlinks in /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.Framework as covered in these forums?)

    In general, zmsetup should detect your hostname just fine. (This isn't mac on intel, is it? The powerpc build won't work on intel)

    I'm running it as root. No this is a G5 XServe Power PC chip. 1.5 is the default JAVA version.(here is the code showing it: Checking java version...1.5 found) When I get it all setup this is what is going wrong:

    when I followed the instructions from the quick start guide:
    * su - root
    * cd /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.Framework/Versions
    * rm CurrentJDK
    * -s 1.5 CurrentJDK

    I followed the instructions there and I deleted the file CurrentJDK and spent a few hours trying to get 1.5 back up and running? Is there something I was doing wrong?

    that last command should be "ln -s 1.5 CurrentJDK". As root, what do you get from "java -version"

    As root I get: Checking java version...1.5 found

    Do I need to go through those steps if the terminal is showing the above?

    It appears so, if you're seeing the errors that you're seeing.
