Default Slipt DNS: is NAT or dynamic IP more relevant ?

if NAT or the dynamic IP the main reason of the requirement of a local DNS server?

Thank's a lot for any feedback!

SplitDNS is required when your ZCS server is on a private LAN. The server needs to be able to resolve the true IP address and MX record. If it looked up the external MX it would resolve it back to the external IP address, which is obviously not the IP of the server on the internal LAN.
