    Smile installing on FreeBSD 7.1

    hi!

I am new with zimbra and I'd like to ask for some hints of installing zimbra on
    FreeBSD 7.1.

I found a patchset for FreeBSD by dwhite on this forum(can't insert link, I am new user) dunno how actual it is.. (released two years ago..) and the pcbsd link doesn't work..

all-in-all please help me with installing, where to start, anything..
    thanks a lot in advance!

    Hiya

Short answer is, it would be very difficult. I patched FreeBSD off the back of my Solaris patch back in version 5.0.3 and 5.0.7 but never quite finished it so never released it. It requires extensive changes to the codebase, so unless you have a lot of time and patience you're going to have to go with another platform. Sorry!

I will eventually release a freebsd port if nobody does first, but I'm concentrating on getting the Solaris port completed first.

Ubuntu will allow you to switch to Network Edition, not Etch.
