    Default [SOLVED] Installation Fails

Trying to install zcs-NETWORK-5.0.11 on ubuntu 8.04

I'm installing from a terminal on the local host with the GUI running in the background.

At the end of the install where the menu forces you to set the Zimbra admin password I get everything configured properly including the license file location. The problem is that all I get is the option to quit without applying changes.

    6) zimbra-logger: Enabled
    7) zimbra-spell: Enabled
    8) Default Class of Service Configuration:
    +Enable Instant Messaging Feature: Disabled
    +Enable Briefcases Feature: Enabled
    +Enable Tasks Feature: Enabled
    +Enable Notebook Feature: Enabled

    9) Enable default backup schedule: yes
    c) Collapse menu
    r) Start servers after configuration yes
    s) Save config to file
    q) Quit

Your post shows that your configuration isn't correct. See how it says:

"Address unconfigured (**) or correct ldap configuration(?-help)
It means your LDAP configuration is not right.

It may be because your DNS is not configured correctly. So we can check please post the following
    Code:
    cat /etc/hosts
    cat /etc/resolv.conf
    dig yourdomain.com mx
    dig yourdomain.com any
host `hostname` <- note backticks and not single quotes

type host `hostname`. hostname is a system command that will be expanded into the host command. well the issue is that no MX is available for your domain. Is your ZCS server behind a firewall on a private IP ?

From the results above, you would appear to have no MX record in your local DNS server. I assume you're also behind a firewall?

You should type (copy/paste if you like) the following command as you see it (don't put your server name in it):

    Code:
    host `hostname`

My ZCS server is behind a firewall. My ZCS server has a public IP address.
