    Default Outlook connector deletes existing Outlook calendar?

    I'm trialing Zimbra and until now, it's been very problem-free.

    Today, I was setting up a new user who uses two computers. I set up one (a Macintosh) without issue, and synchronized the calendar, with no entries. Then, I set up Outlook 2003 on XP with the Zimbra connector. Outlook had a large number of calendar entries.

    After this initial calendar sync, Outlook now has no entries on the calendar!

    How can I get these calendar entries back? Are they gone forever?

    I got contact back from Zimbra support on this issue. For the benefit of anybody else, here's what they wrote:

    Most likely your appointments are not deleted.  Where you previously using Outlook with a different profile other than the ZCO profile?
    If this is the case, when you install ZCO, we create a new profile in Outlook.  We do not delelete the previous profile.  What you can do is stop Outlook.
    Go to Control Panels\Mail\profiles, you will see here a list of all profiles.  Make sure that the option for 'prompt which appointment' to use is checked when opening Outlook.

    If you open your other profile, you should be able to get to your previous appointments.  Your next step if you would like to migrate these calendar appointments to ZCS is to export them on a PST format.
