Hi... Yes, I'm experiencing the error below in the Zimbra Admin UI.

Message: system failure: exception during auth {RemoteManager: mail.example.com->zimbra@mail.example.com:22} Error code: service.FAILURE Method: GetMailQueueInfoRequest Details:soap:Receiver

I've done my due diligence in searching the cause out and still have yet to figure it out. First of all, I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 with the 5.0.13 release. I've followed instructions on creating and updating the ssh keys.

zmsshkeygen & zmupdateauthkeys

I've made sure that authorized_keys and zimbra_identity.pub are identical. I've tried this with firewall off. The zimbra user is in sshd_config, I've tried sshv1&v2... AND... I've followed the suggestions in the wiki (Mail Queue Monitoring - Zimbra :: Wiki).

Here's the output on this...

Code:
zimbra@mail:~/.ssh$ ssh -vi .ssh/zimbra_identity -o strictHostKeyChecking=no zimbra@mail.example.com -p 22

Ideally, I would like... 1) to make this work. 2) to be able to authenticate via keys, and not allow passwords.

I've searched the forums and read the first four pages of posts that turned up using a search query of ssh; googled, and read the FAQs, wiki, etc. I still have yet to squash this. Zimbra works just fine, I've setup my mail domain and tested with a couple emails... I just can't administer the mail queue or server.

Can someone point me in a solid direction to get this resolved? Are there some error logs hiding some place which offers more info?

I got free cookies for anyone who can help me this... thanks. I'm going back to googling...
