    Default installing trial license..

we have just received the email with the license information in it for us to test with..

    Where does it go?

The email makes me think that I need to put the file someplace, and then run the installer again so that it can upgrade/update with the license..

If this is true where do I go to verify that this worked?

Or if this is not true, how do I install the trial license in the open source version? and then were do I verify that it was accepted?

    TIA

I just did this. There are 2 ways you can do it. First, save the attachment to your desktop.

Option 1- copy the ZCSLicense.xml file to your unix box via SCP or ftp. You will eventually want it in the /opt/zimbra/conf/ folder.

    Then run the install.

    OR

Run the install. It will fail on the license part, then after you get everything installed, log on as the admin account, then go to Global Settings -> License -> Update License and browse to your Desktop where you saved it.

    Either will work.

This worked a treat for me when I ran the installer in Mac OS X.5. I could not get the installer to see the file anywhere else, even when specifying the full path to the file or containing directory.
