I have read a lot of threads here where problems were fixed installing Zimbra on a OpenVZ System, but the problems were always solved on the host system... :-(
I pay for a Linux.VDS (vanager.com) and could not get the point, where to fix the memory problem!
For example the mysql.log
060517 20:15:13 InnoDB: Error: cannot allocate 2549104640 bytes of
InnoDB: memory with malloc! Total allocated memory
InnoDB: by InnoDB 29721352 bytes. Operating system errno: 12
InnoDB: Check if you should increase the swap file or
InnoDB: ulimits of your operating system.
InnoDB: On FreeBSD check you have compiled the OS with
InnoDB: a big enough maximum process size.
InnoDB: We keep retrying the allocation for 60 seconds...
InnoDB: Fatal error: cannot allocate the memory for the buffer pool
060517 20:16:13 [ERROR] Can't init databases
060517 20:16:13 [ERROR] Aborting
Is it possible to say that Zimbra should only use a given RAM-Size? I have 512MB garantied, but it seems like the burstable memory of my provider is added to the possible mem and so it doesn't work! :-(
The >uname -srvmp< will give the result:
Linux 2.6.8-022stab070.9-enterprise #1 SMP Thu Apr 20 10:48:12 MSD 2006 i686 i686
(Yes, I have currently SuSE 9.3 running on my Server - but other Systems are also available!! Wouldn't be a problem for me to change the operating system)
Any help would be nice!!!
