getting asked awkward questions by a third-party company who needs to access our Zimbra using POP3.
Obviously we use IMAP 99% of the time and I have never thought much about the POP3 aspect of Zimbra.
This company is asking to be able to send mail to us for an auto-responder on our Website hosted with our ISP. They need a POP3 address to send temporary message to and it must to an address with the same domain suffix as our website. This domain suffix is pointed straight at our Zimbra server on-site.
So basically I need to set up POP3 on Zimbra for them, the box for POP3 is already ticked on the Zimbra Admin interface but if we are going to have to use it I would like to force them to use POP3 over SSL.
They have now come back to me saying they are happy to do this but that I need to install two Pearl modules, Mail::POP3Client and IO::Socket::SSL.
I have checked using http://*domainname*/cgi-bin/arp3/arp3-modules-ssl.pl and these modules are not showing as installed but is this just because I need to look somewhere else for Zimbra Pearl modules?
Does any of this make much sense to you Guys as it doesn't make a lot of sense to me?!
Thanks for any help
