Default Installing on CentOS 4.3 i386 - Zimbra spawns 100's of processes

Doing a clean install on CentOS4.3 - patched and up to date. On trying to install I get as far as the 'Iinstalling packages .... Zimbra LDAP....' and the it sits and creates 1000's of processes titled "/bin/bash /bin/unicode_start latarcyrheb-sun16".

I haven't let it run long enough to actually run out of swap and ram yet - but this is the 2nd time I've tried to install and had this problem.

    I'm trying to install zcs-NETWORK-3.1.2_GA_445.RHEL4.tgz.
