Please, no helpful replies like "you'll have to wait", "you're awfully demanding", or "choose another platform".
    Thanks, Michael
We're waiting on Apple to fix a bug with their Java implementation.

The one in Apple's java that breaks the first time calls to the crypto libraries, see:

Caused by: java.lang.InternalError: Could not start up the CDSA libraries.
Re: Java cryptography library sporadically fails to start.
Could not start up the CDSA libraries (Web Services forum at JavaRanch)

We have a support ticket open with Apple and are working on them to get it resolved.

Does Apple's Java update from yesterday (5/18) fixing the blocking bug? Can we expect official 10.6 support for 6.0.7?

Apple has yet to notify us of a fix, although they are working on it. So I doubt that java update fixes it. You can expect 10.6 support when we feel it is ready.

I have an idea... how about "the leader in open source messaging and collaboration" doesn't wait around for Apple to notify them, and instead of "doubting" that the update fixes the problem, somebody gets just a little pro-active and rattles Apple's cage?

As I already said, Apple has not notified us of a fix. We are already working quite closely with them, getting frequent updates. So when they do have it fixed, we'll know.

Can you give more details on the issue that has been raised with Apple so that I may also pursue the matter with them please? I have been keeping an eagle eye on Bugzilla #38905 and I can see no reference to Apple Support... the last entry there is from the 18th March and says only that "swatch process goes crazy"?
I have also contacted Brian Peterson to whom this appears to be assigned but did not get a reply to my last email.
I know I am being a pain in the a*** on this, but I hated telling my client that "I'm afraid I misled you and Zimbra doesn't after all support OS X, I suggest you look at Kerio...", and the people I deal with generally do not respond well to "you can expect 10.6 support when we feel it is ready", they would prefer (actually they generally demand) a more detailed explanation with a reference that they can cross check.
Life was so much easier when IBM and Microsoft ruled my world... damn these people who insist on using software that THEY want to!!
