I'm pretty new to Zimbra - but what I've seen so far looks great and a first installation will take place next weekend... Before I start it, I have a couple of questions where I'm not sure about the answer; I hope to get some in here.
Since the installation is for private purpose and the server will run at home, I would like to have Zimbra and my webpage on the same machine. For my webpage I use a CMS (Typo3). Can I use MySQL and openLDAP from Zimbra for my Typo3 installation? What about apache? What I read so far, it is not possible to have apache running beside Zimbra. But for Typo3 I need it - or can Tomcat run as a 'normal' webserver as well? How can I handle it, that https://secure.mydomain.ch/webmail is handeled by Zimbra, but https://secure.mydomain.ch by Typo3? I have to use it like this, since my certificate for SSL is only for the domain secure.mydomain.ch. My webpage also has various subdomain (all only http, not https).
I'm also running my own DNS Server - so DNS shouldn't cause any problems. Installing Zimbra and my webserver on different boxes is a overkill for my setup - only a handfull of users will be on Zimbra and the webserver. The server will have Debian stable as operatingsystem.
What do you suggest?
Thanks in advance for your input!
