    Default planning first install, 6.06 out today?

    can't find news on it, i see today is the target, but no experience with zimbra record as far as meeting targets.

    Welcome to the forums,

    You can start playing with 6.0.5, then when 6.0.6 is out also go through your first upgrade (pretty painless ./install.sh and you won't have many users on the system yet anyways).

    yes, i have been 'playing' with 6.05 for a while. Mfe on our nokia phones(mostly e72) is not working, looking for better support in 6.06 before deploying.

    Does zimbra have svn or git somewhere so I can co/clone and test out 6.06 now?

    Building Zimbra using Perforce - Zimbra :: Wiki

    No blocker's at the moment, we'll know QA's verdict later today after everyone weighs in, the weekend results are checked, etc. (If something is found each fix/re-build/re-test can add a day.)

    thanks for communicating mmorse.

    BTW, I strongly need some fixes in 606, asap to a customer.
    I was trying to compile on ubuntu using this guide:
    GNR on Debian Lenny - Zimbra :: Wiki

    but I get the following error:
    Code:
    $ p4 -u public -P public1234 -c public-view sync -f //depot/zcs/GNR-605/...
    Client 'public-view' can only be used from host 'kaustubha.efensys.world'.

    Try now, someone filled in the 'host' field, guess we need to go more aggressive on the cron that cleans that out.

    ok, now the connect works, but I get this error:

    Code:
    $ p4 -u public -P public1234 -c public-view sync -f //depot/zcs/GNR-606/... -d .
    //depot/zcs/GNR-606/Ajax/WebRoot/examples/xforms_test/XForm doc.html#1 - refreshing /home/public/p4/zcs/GNR-606/Ajax/WebRoot/examples/xforms_test/XForm doc.html
    can't create directory for /home/public/p4/zcs/GNR-606/Ajax/WebRoot/examples/xforms_test/XForm doc.html
    mkdir: /home/public: Permission denied
    I understand it's fetching in /home/public instead in CWD...
    I "fixed" by creating that dir, but either the wiki or the command needs fixes.

    On a side note, I see that 606 is almost production stable, given those remaining bugs. is it "safe" to upgrade to a 606 compiled using that wiki?
    thanks
