Default HELP! Fresh install of FC5 and Zimbra Cannot get Postfix started

Apologies for shouting I have a dev machine that I am trying to get Zimbra up on. This is a fresh install of FC5 and Zimbra. The install script ran flawlessly, no errors. Zimbra is up, I can connect to it etc. Only thing is postfix will not start see below.

    [zimbra@mail bin]$ zmcontrol status
    Host mail.twhg.home
    antispam Running
    antivirus Running
    ldap Running

    [zimbra@mail bin]$ postfix start

    [zimbra@mail bin]$ postfix check

Can anyone help with this please, I am relatively new to Linux, BUT want to replace a windows MDAEMON server with Zimbra.

    Regards
    Stephen

Looks like a non-zimbra postfix is already running on port 25.

Kill it, then try zmmtactl start

    Default Thanks worked a treat

Hey thanks for that. I just realised that zimbra uses it's own postfix binary, FC5 had loaded the standard one but It wasn't checked int eh services list

I posted a couple of other topics in this and the administrators forum. If you can help with that it would be great.

    Cheers

    Default sendmail

FYI, I'm new to Zimbra but thankfully I was able to piggy-back off of this thread and found out that sendmail (which is installed by default on FC5) can hose the zimbra postfix binary as well. A simple yum remove sendmail and a system reboot rendered Zimbra fully functional for me.

    Thought that might help others.
