Doesn't seem to work. I always get this error:

    Code:
perl: symbol lookup error: /opt/zimbra/zimbramon/lib/i486-linux-gnu-thread-multi/auto/IO/IO.so: undefined symbol: Perl_Tstack_sp_ptr
I read the forums and the Zimbra admins say I need to use a supported version. Well, I upgraded to Debian Lenny using apt-get dist-upgrade but the very same thing happens. Here's the entire session after the upgrade to Debian Lenny:

    Code:
    mail:~/zcs-6.0.7_GA_2473.DEBIAN5.20100616212143# ./install.sh

You need to upgrade the Debian 4 (Etch) to ZCS 6.0.7 FIRST then on a separate machine or rebuild your current system to Debian 5 (after of course backing up and keeping /opt/zimbra somewhere safe). Once you have Debian 5 installed do the dumby install as per the instructions and follow from there. You are not following instructions which is why it is not working.

I have done this many times. Just be careful if you are going from 32-bit to 64-bit OS. There are some more steps when doing that.

I did that before and got the same error. That's why I tried upgrading to Lenny first.

Anyway, here's what happens when I try to upgrade to ZCS6 on top of Etch:

    Code:
    mail:~/zcs-6.0.7_GA_2473.DEBIAN5.20100616212143# cat /etc/debian_version

You downloaded the wrong binary. Thats the binary for Debian 5 (Lenny) not Debian 4 (Etch). You should not need to do --platform-override if all your OS versions match up correctly to supported OS's.

You need to download this (As of today the latest 32-bit binary for Debian 4 ZCS 6.0.7 FOSS): http://files2.zimbra.com/downloads/6...0616224128.tgz

Wow I feel so dumb. I haven't noticed there was a ZCS6 binary for Debian 4. It's working okay now.

You said there are more steps when going from 32 to 64 bits. I would like to do that, could you please point me to steps needed?

    Good to hear!

Here you go: Network Edition: Moving from 32-bit to 64-bit Server - Zimbra :: Wiki

You should also do some searching on the board.

    Thanks again.

I read all the (fairly complex) procedure and have just one doubt left: in the end I will have all the same configs, mailboxes, users, calendars, etc from the old box? Also, I see that's for Network Edition. Will it work on Open Source Edition as well?
