Default Canonical address after upgrade to 6.0.7

    Hello,
I did an upgrade from 5.0.19 to 6.0.7
In the admin interface of 5.0.19 there was a point to set the canonical address.
I miss this point in 6.0.7
The problem is, that i set it in v.5 and didn't unset it. Now i need to unset this but can't.
Is there a way to do this in v.6?

    thx

I just saw this thread http://www.zimbra.com/forums/adminis...dress-now.html
So there is no longer a canonical address.
But why do the existing accounts behave as if its still set?
(I can't switch between my identities)

It is still there but there is no ability to set it in the Admin UI (the feature will be removed at a later date), you should be able to set it via the CLI.

This worked for us awhile back. Think I grabbed it from the wiki, but I could be wrong.

If you want mail from user@domain.com or user@zimbra.domain.com to appear to come from user@example.com, you can set the canonical address for the entire domain.

    zmprov md domain.com zimbraMailCatchAllAddress @domain.com zimbraMailCatchAllCanonicalAddress @example.com
    zmprov md zimbra.domain.com zimbraMailCatchAllAddress @zimbra.domain.com zimbraMailCatchAllCanonicalAddress @example.com

That uses a catchall address and really shouldn't be used, it will get all the spam for your domain with the possibility of using Discarding Emails Sent to Invalid Addresses.

I had exactly the same problem an could manage it like this:

Existing accounts still have (and use) the canonical address after an upgrade from an earlier Zimbra-Version. The only thing about it is, that its not shown in the Admin-Interface any more and therefore not editable.

    Workaround for newly added users:

Connect to the ldap-server and add/edit the entry "zimbraMailCanonicalAddress" for the respective user to any address you want....

    e.g. with LDAP-Admin under Windows
