I completed the above. What's next?
Or attach mailbox.log :)Code:
"then reboot your server and find "cannot figure out hostname on localhost" in mailbox.log
Split DNS article and follow the instructions there on how to configure your DNS correctly and you can verify the correct set-up by using the commands in the 'Verify...' section of that article.
I followed the split dns directions about 3 times with the same results. It seems pretty straight forward. I don't see what could be wrong. But I'll check it again tonight along with the hosts file directions in the quick start.
I send/receive just fine to hotmail, gmail, and others. My dns reports come out great.
You could post the information form the Split DNS 'Verify..' section to prove that you have configured your DNS correctly.
I'm still at work...but I was trying to find where the hosts file example was. I went into the quick start section but did not see it there. You said earlier that my hosts file's format was incorrect and that I needed to reference the quick start section.
Could you point me in the right direction? I wanted to do this as soon as I get home.
Also, once this "DNS issue" is fixed, what will be the procedure for installing the failed zimlets? I'm still trying to figure out how all of this is going to tie together.
I just noticed this...When I go into my admin console and click on zimlets in the right pane, I see the "missing" zimlets there with the status Disabled. Does this mean that they are installed and I can just toggle the status? I wanted to make sure before trying so I know I won't "break" something.
Also....Here is the results of the "verify" of my split dns configuration. I did the dig command using only the domain name this time.
dig mymailhost.com mx
