    Unhappy All Incomming Messeges Are Being Deferred

    Hi,
    I have the installation up and running and I am able to send emails just fine but every message that comes into my server is being placed in the "Deferred" queue. The reason given is the connection to the mail server was refused. Any assistance on how or why this is happening will be greatly appreciated.

    Is the server actually up? What does 'zmcontrol status' show? Can you telnet to port 25? Is there a firewall or SElinux likely to be blocking this server? Is the AS/AV services still up? Zimbra version & Operating System?

    Thanks for replying..........All services show running in zmcontrol status, I am able to telnet to port 25, no SELinux or firewall enabled, OS/WhiteBox Linux Enterprise 4, Zimbra version 4.0.1_GA_324.RHEL4. AS/AV also show running. Any other info needed will be happily supplied upon request.

    As noted earlier; I am able to send email fine and access the server via my mail client. The issue is all incoming mail is not being distributed to the mailboxes but placed in the Deferred queue and it shows the server refused the connection.

    What error messages are in the logs and is there enough space on the HD that the mailstore is on?

    lmtp connections on port 7025 are being deferrred.
