Hello and welcome to the forum.

What are you trying to achive ? I mean, do you want the Zimbra server you're setting up to be the mail server of lafrancol.com domain or are you just testing Zimbra locally ?

Another thing is that if your installation fails, you should try to uninstall everything (./install.sh -u) before relaunching the installation script (actually, I had to do this to get the installation to work).

Do you actually have a correct /etc/hosts file & DNS reords f[pinting to your zimbra server?

    What does the following return:

    host `hostname`
dig MX yourdomain.com (replace that with your correct domain name)

I think the dns is ok, with A and MX records:

    Code:
    zimbra@australopitecus:~$ host -a australopitecus.*.net
    ;; QUESTION SECTION:
    ;australopitecus.*.net. IN ANY

    ;; ANSWER SECTION:
    australopitecus.*.net. 3600 IN A 192.168.0.98
    australopitecus.*.net. 3600 IN MX 10 australopitecus.*.net.

    ;; ADDITIONAL SECTION:
    australopitecus.*.net. 3600 IN A 192.168.0.98
Bud "dig" doesn't tell me about 192.168.0.98... no "ANSWER SECTION"

Sorry, my mistake. Try 'dig MX fqdn' where fqdn is the server that's got zimbar on - that should show if there's a correct MX record.

    From your previous post:
    Code:
    australopitecus.*.net. 3600 IN MX 10 australopitecus.*.net.
it doesn't look right to me. I guess that 'australopitecus.*.net' is your domain name? It should read something like:
    Code:
    australopitecus.*.net. 3600 IN MX 10 svrname.australopitecus.*.net
or if 'australopitecus' is your servername then it should read:
    Code:
    *.net. 3600 IN MX 10 australopitecus.*.net
one of those formats should be correct depending on your domain name.

There's a description of the settings in the forums under a thread called "DNS in a nutshell", have a look at that and see if your DNS matches it. I am assuming this is a DNS server on your LAN? If you're behind a router you may need a split DNS setup and that's described in the wiki.
    Regards
