Default Installing CentOS 5.5 for Zimbra

I'm creating a email server on a HP Proliant ML150

    I have two 80GB HDD.

I'm trying to set up RAID1 but get the error messages that I can't do that on a GPT partionining schema.

    Do I need RAID?

What's my best route for setting up a system. I'm going to follow this tutorial but thought I shoudl try RAID

Wizard, you should check the CentOS during you CentOS installation process, that should issue with the partitioning issue for RAID setup.

That HD configuration isn't sufficient for your expected number of user and it's also not a good idea to run Zimbra from a RAID1 set-up. The recommended RAID is RAID10, I'd suggest you follow this in your other thread where you have some feedback on your current hardware configuration.

I have just setup centos 5.5 with raid 1 mirror.

The quick start guide recommend 'RAID/Mirroring for redundancy' and 'RAID-5 is not recommended for installations with more than 100 accounts'

I don't fancy reinstalling the server. What is wrong with a software raid 1 mirror?

As for the guide/Howto perhaps you might find using dnsmasq a little simpler to configure if you don't need a full DNS caching server. If you would like the notes on how i set up my test server (post the raid 1 install) i'll be happy to forward them.
