    Default Zimbra installation problem

    I try to install zimbra 7 on ubuntu 10.04 with database mysql.
    In installation process i found eror like this


    Code:
    Could not open required defaults file: /opt/zimbra/conf/my.cnf
    Fatal error in defaults handling. Program aborted
    /opt/zimbra/mysql/bin/mysqlcheck: Got error: 2002: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/opt/zimbra/db/mysql.sock' (2) when trying to connect
    No errors found
    command failed
    but installation progress continued.What caused that eror ?
    in installation prgrress continued, will are there problem on zimbra later ?

    how to solve these..? help me please

    There appear to be serious problems with your installation if /opt/zimbra/conf/my.cnf does not exist. Did you run the full setup procedure?

    i have installed zimbra 6.12 on ubuntu 8.04 and works well.
    But i cannot to send and receive mail both from local and from internet.

    whe i try to check zimbra log with command tail -f /var/log/zimbra.log
    i get error like this

    That would be the problem. Let's see the status of the services:

    zmcontrol status
    I guess you've set-up a Split DNS (you need one if you're behind a NAT router or firewall)? Which forums threads have you read (and tried) about debugging and solving this problem?

    I see that imapproxy & memcached are still installed and running, you need to get rid of them - they cause problems on a single server and should not be installed. What about the answers to my other questions?

    This is only one Laptop which not connect anything except wireless for connect to internet.So i use standart DNS with bind9.
    I haven't read other thread to install zimbra, i only have initiative to install zimbra 6.12 on Ubuntu 8.04 because it's compatible with it,

    Now i have disable memchaced and immapproxy, but when i try to send email, it doesn't work properly.

    this is log when i check with tail -f /var/log/zimbra.log after i send one mail to other user
