Question proxying to multiple zimbra mailboxes

i want to proxy several domains to two different zimbra installations.

is very simple to do it with postfix:

Proxy mail to different smtp server with Postfix - Server Fault

anyone tried to do it modifying zimbra internal postfix?

should i use a different machine or is enough with using one zimbra mta?

It's probably less work to put a small dedicated postfix virtual machine in front of Zimbra. This way you're sure to not get Zimbra's postfix messed up (although it should work), and you won't have to redo the custom config after every update of ZCS.
