    Hey Henning,
The forest got in the way of seeing the trees?
I'll be installing the patch in about an hour, I'll post on here how it went.

    Hi blozancic,

    > The forest got in the way of seeing the trees?
    Exactly :-)

Just installed the patch but no change. Prolems remain the same...

Executing the first command mentioned in the PDF that is associated with the patch

    Code:
    zmprov fc locale
    results in

    Code:
    ERROR: service.FAILURE (system failure: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/zimbra/cs/service/admin/FlushCache$1)

I'll try version 7.1.0 GA now...

    So long

    Henning

    Hey Henning,
Check out this other thread, http://www.zimbra.com/forums/install...ounderror.html
Apparently VMWare's quality control isn't that good.

    Hi blozancic,

oops - nope did not see that thread. Well, too late now. Reverted the snaphot of the VMs. Anyhow - the errors of not being able to rewrite Postfix's master configuration file did not go away after applying the patch. I doubt that flushing the cache successfully would have changed anything about that fact.... We'll see how your system behaves after executing the commands in the correct order...

    > Apparently VMWare's quality control isn't that good
Well, mistakes happen and so far I've been very pleased with using Zimbra OSS edtition. What's a little odd is the fact that the mistake has been detected and discussed, so one would thing someone would update the official PDF that's for download... Oh well, TTT - things take time... Especially in big companies, right?

    Hey Henning,
No problems yet. (I say hopefully).
btw, I'm loving Zimbra, we use it for our office, sold it to a few other companies that wanted an email solution and even got another geek to use it for his own company email.

    Hey blozancic,

so wait a second - everything logged in

    Code:
    /opt/zimbra/log/zmconfigd.log
is ok now and no more stack traces of a crashing JVM when shutting down zimbra?

    Hey Henning,
I just did a restart of Zimbra for kicks, checked my zmconfigd.log and saw no errors on it. Sweet!
Let me know how it worked for you.

    Hi blozancic,

    > I just did a restart of Zimbra for kicks
    You name it!

Can confirm that applying the patch like outlined by you above does succeed.
    However executing
    Code:
    zmcontrol start
as user zimbra resulted in a scary

Restarted all services afterwards again , as you mention, just for kicks, and since then no more errors are logged in zmconfigd.log
This happened in exactly the same way on two machines.

Stacktrace files howerver are still created on every shut down of the Zimbra services...
    Also happens on both machines.

Let's see if everything's still up in a couple hours....
