You need to buy Zimbra Network Pro Edition (NE)
The Standard Edition comes with iPhone support, but if you want Outlook support, that means you've got to go with the Pro Edition.
Thank, but can i use ms word as editor for zimbra desktop ?
I don't see that option in 7.1.2. When creating a new email in ZD, I see under the options button to "Format as Plain Text" or "Format as HTML"

You don't "have to" use Zimbra Desktop since they allow any standards compliant program to connect. However, ZD is designed to utilize all of the Zimbra-specific features.
The primary means of using Zimbra is the web browser. If using Firefox, you can use the built-in dictionary to highlight and suggest spelling options. You can even install different language dictionaries based on your preference.
Outlook was designed to work with other Microsoft Office products...thus the option to use Word as your editor.
Hi, but is there a way to use Word editor for ZD? Probably by creating some zimlet? The ZD editor is really not good.
If there was a way, I would prefer to use LibreOffice as the editor. :D LibreOffice would be the only option I would have to ensure all my employees could make use of it. Not everyone is allowed to have MS Office due to cost...but everyone can have LibreOffice installed at no cost.
Thanks a lot. I have couple of questions
1. How to integrate LibreOffice as an editor in ZD
2. Can we also use Open Office (Writely)?
3. In case we want to use MS Office, is there a way?
