I am replacing an existing e-mail system with Zimbra.
It is a FC4 box and I have Zimbra up & running. It is in a DMZ behind a firewall as is the exisiting system.
I can send mail to the box and it comes in the door and the delivery is deferred.
It never created any mail boxes in ../store until I sent mail which I am able to do from the Zimbra client connected to the network in the building.
It appears to be an IP # problem. I've found that if you aren't careful about the IP # you use in the hosts file the system won't come up upon reboot in any kind of reasonable time. I did a complete reinstall until I figured that out.
I have the hosts file set to the private IP # of the machine and it looks like Postfix is trying to connect to the public IP# which it probably can't do because of the firewall.
Any hope for this. Will setting up a local DNS server fix the problem as I read in a previous post?
