Why do you think this version requires a license? Were you prompted for something during install? I don't have Ubuntu systems to check on at the moment, but I can tell you that in general the Open Source editions don't require any purchased license. I just did an upgrade to 7.2 a month or so ago and didn't have any licensing issues.

    It does not.

I have installed 7.2.0 on Ubuntu Server 10.04 LTS and it never asks for license info.
Type su - zimbra -c "zmcontrol -v" to get your version and copy that into your profile (more info here)
