I upgraded Zimbra from 4.0.3 to 4.0.5 and now I cannot connect from my mail client to send mail. I can receive mail fine. I checked /var/log/zimbra.log when I try to connect to send mail, but nothing shows up. Sending mail from the Zimbra GUI works fine however...
We are using SSL for everything, I checked the settings in /opt/zimbra/cyrus-sasl/etc/saslauthd.conf (and saslauthd.conf.in) and they look ok:
The error I get from my mail client (Mac Mail 2.1) is : Could not connect to this SMTP server. Check your network connection and that you have entered the correct information in the Account preferences. Also verify that the server supports SSL. If it does not, uncheck the "Use SSL" checkbox in the Advanced tab of Account preferences.
This was all working right before I did the upgrade to 4.0.5, and I did not change any settings on the server or my client.
