    Actually I traced the (or at least "a") problem -- doing a "rpm -ivvh zimbra-core-4.5.1_GA_660.FC5-20070201184655.i386.rpm" was bombing on the "useradd". For whatever reason I just ran what it was trying to:

    useradd -g zimbra -G tty -d /opt/zimbra -s /bin/bash zimbra

    After that the core rpm installed (it's still running at the moment, so let's see what else comes up

    do you have selinux enabled?
