    Great!
Okay your hosts file needs to look like this:
    Code:
     127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
    208.67.250.173 marlin.realmarketing.net marlin
    Type:
    hostname

What does that return? (Should be marlin or marlin.realmarketing.net)

    John,

I see there is no 'marlin' at the end of second line in the file now. Does that need to be there?

Yes. That tells the system that the simple hostname is marlin. The other is the fully qualified Domain Name.

Next, it would appear that you don't have an mx record. Do you host your own DNS, or do you have a web hosting provider? If you do, you need to add an MX record:
    mackintosh:~ jholder$ dig mx realmarketing.net

    ; <<>> DiG 9.3.2 <<>> mx realmarketing.net
    ;; global options: printcmd
    ;; Got answer:

    ;; QUESTION SECTION:

    ;; ANSWER SECTION:

    ;; AUTHORITY SECTION:

    realmarketing.net. 86400 IN NS ns2.realmarketing.net.

    ;; ADDITIONAL SECTION:

    John,

I believe I changed this appropriately take a look at it. I have a dedicated box with a hosting provider, How do I add an mx record is that in the localdomain.zone file or localhost.zone or niether?

    [root@marlin zcs]# cat /etc/hosts
    # Do not remove the following line, or various programs
    # that require network functionality will fail.
    #127.0.0.1 marlin.realmarketing.net marlin localhost.localdom
    #localhost

    127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
    208.67.250.173 marlin.realmarketing.net marlin

    Is this the DNS Server?
If it's not, it won't matter if you add anything to it, no mail will know how to get there.

Do you have an admin control panel or something with your hosting provider where you can add an mx record?

    (hosts file looks great!)

Hmmm? I believe their dns server is ns1.securewebhosting.net and ns2.securewebhosting.net, but I am not sure because they have another one as well I dont think either are on this box. No control panel, I specifically skipped that so there wouldn't be any install issues with zimbra.

Is there a way to add it in the zone files manually?

You're gonna need an MX record pointing to this box.
If you don't, things won't work.

I assume that the installer warned you when you installed it before.

    John,

Basically is that something my hosting provider is going to have to do?

What if I use an external service like easydns or something. Will that work?

    Map it to the ip?

Yeah. It's gonna be who ever hosts your DNS.

looks like you have a host a record if the IP of the box is:
    ; ANSWER SECTION:
    marlin.realmarketing.net. 14400 IN A 208.67.250.173

Now your MX record needs to point to marlin.realmarketing.net with a value of 10, not 0.

Currently, it just points to realmarketing.net which apparently is a different box
