    Exclamation install zimbra on Windows

    I fill like I didn't read verry well requirment but will be happy that this will be my only problem
    Is it possible to use Zimbra as email organiser on a machin working on Windows XP?
    Realy the system shown on demo is a satisfaction if we could all benifict from itn, so can some one help
    If it is possible for Zimbra to work on Windows, can someone show me the way to install and config plz

    It isn't possible to run Zimbra on windows (it was said some times in the forums).

    But I think you don't understand the architecture. Zimbra isn't an mail client like Outlook. It is an entire server based solution. The Client you can access in the demo is just a part of it.

    so what to download and how to configure if I want to use the email server on Windows server 2003?

    Currently (as i know) there is no way to install Zimbra on any Windows based system.

    Look at the last post here

    There is said that it would *maybe* be possible to install it on a windows machine.

    Interesting even it's not achived yet
    but let's follow the thread as it't more interesting than my question

    Check ZimbraServer/doc/install.txt for details.

    If you install mysql, openldap and tomcat according to that doc, you can run *almost* everything on a windows box.

    The missing piece, of course, is the MTA - no postfix port for windows.

    (Or, of course - the FC install CD will set your windows box up to run Zimbra with no problems

    Im going to install Linux on a windows box than run Zimbra.
