Default Questions for Upgrade from 4.05 to 4.5.2

After reading all the threads on the mysql errors, just curious about the correct steps to upgrade to 4.5.2.

Do I still need to run the mysql statements mention or has the 4.5.2 install taken care of that.

I am planning to upgrade this afternoon PST.

    Default backups

I will backup, both the zimbra and the system. Is anyone having sucess installing 4.5.2 from a 4.0.5 NE on RHEL 4?

My 3 upgrades to date have been flawless. Just curious about other user experiences.

We've had a TON of upgrades that have indeed gone flawlessly.

The problem seems to spring up from our upgrading to mysql 5.0
Our developers are looking into it.

Basically, have a backup, try it, and if it fails, go back to your backup

I've been told by zimbra support that the mysql update is not necessary.

I'm trying to do the same update 4.0.5 to 4.5.2 and it failed because I don't have /usr/lib64/libstdc++.so.5 installed on RHEL 4 64 bit version. The zimbra 4.0.5 upgrade didn't require it, why now?

It requires the 32bit libraries as well - wiki.
