even if a tool like heartbeat manages the failover ?
That could be cool to see 2 cluster nodes being in an active/active mode, with a replication process between them, and each node managing its own users. When a node fails, heartbeat would tell to the second node to manage the first node's users ...

The heartbeat will need to be another tool, not part of the Zimbra replication feature.

And if each server manages its own users, it's not a cluster.

I need to manage failover, so, yes, heartbeat would be an additionnal tool installed apart of zimbra.

The replication would be really great is failover processes were integrated : imagine you've 2 servers, each server running its own users. The replication process make sense if you need to use the replicated data on only one server (ie, one server shuts down), so, how is it managed ???

If it isn't, I imagine that failover could be managed by heartbeat to switch from one server to the other, and then heartbeat would tell to the other server to manage all users' sessions ...
