    Hi,

Can I install Zimbra using a regular OS X Desktop Edition, Not OS X Server.

    Default Problems

    Thank you for your reply,

I asking because I having some problems with installation.

I guess that I having problems with DNS server, I didn't have one installed on my MAC and recently installed BIND 9.4. It is necesary a DNS server or I must modify the host file?.

BTW: Do you recomend to install Zimbra on a Mac Mini with 2 GB of Memory and 500 GB Hard Disk?. I want use it for 500 users or little more plus Zimbra Mobile.

    Regards,

    Taguapire.

I would not think of using a "entry level computer", even very cute (Mac Mini), with a single drive, to host 500 business accounts...

Honestly, you need (at least) RAID1 for this and a "server grade" motherboard would too.

    Mmmmm...

It will not run? It will fail? Any sarvice can fail? I mean, it is jus a Test that I will run with it for about 9 months, then I will adquire a server grade hardware. maybe a Apple Server or IBM.

I just want to be sure that this configuration can almost handle that load.

    Regards,

    Taguapire.
