    Default tomcat problems

    Anything in /var/log/zimbra.log after that?

    Default Same deal here

I'm having the exact same issues as pcoleman. There's a lot in zimbra.log, but nothing related to tomcat. When I run status, all services are running except mailbox.

I also noticed that tomcat was running for maybe half a minute and stopped shortly after zmcontrol start was completed.

Here's an excerpt from zimbra.log. The last 100 lines or so are just related to amavis, and no errors seem present there.

    Any ideas? Thanks much.

    Default catalina.out

Anything in /opt/zimbra/tomcat/logs/catalina.out? If tomcat won't start, it's probably a java version problem.

    Default port binding

Looks like we're having trouble binding to port 80 for some reason.

Is there another web server running on this box? If so, shut it down.

If there's no other web server running, try to telnet to port 80 - you should get connection refused. If you don't launchd is probably in the way, and listening to something on port 80. If that's the case, let me know what's in /System/Library/LaunchDaemons.

    Default strange

Ok, so port 80 isn't being used.

Does this error appear if you start tomcat this way?

    su - zimbra
    /opt/zimbra/bin/tomcat start

    And there's a zmtomcatstart entry in /etc/sudoers?
