Is the NE version performance better than the OSS version? I'm currently running a server for 5 people, and the web client just seems to lag a bit.
Here's my hardware:
Dual Xeon 2.8Ghz
2x 36GB Scsi drives 10K RPM mirrored.
100Mb connection to the Internet
OS: Ubuntu 6.06LTS
I've checked my network settings from the server all the way to the Internet, and I'm not having any issues there. Everything on the Zimbra install works. The evite zimbra still doesnt sync calendars, but that's a mute point.
Zimlets installed: amazon, arcade, collector, date, email, evite, gtranslator, phone, rss, search, tracking, travelagent, url, xslt, ymaps, ytraffic.
What I notice is that switching between tabs (Inbox to calendar or contacts) there is a 1 or .5 second hesitation. I've tried logging in and out serveral times so that way I know everything is cached and its not loading for the first time. Which, when loading for the first time takes a very very long time.
I read in the other thread that Ubuntu 6.x lts is a supported OS. So does the NE version run better? Are there performance enhancements in that one vs the OSS version?
Thanks for the help and clarification.
