    Default No incoming mail?

    Hi guys,

I have been troubleshooting this problem for two days now and I finally need some help. The first issue was that tomcat would not start. I fixed that by renaming the redo log. After that tomcat would run, I now have the webmail and admin console. However, when I send email using a client such as outlook it accepts it from the server, but it never arrives to the recipient. If I send the mail from the web based email it works. All incoming mail goes to the deferred queue. I get an error in zimbra.log that states (Delivery temporarily suspended : lost connection with mail.xxxxxxxx.com while sending end of data -- message may be sent more than once)

    OS=ubuntu 6.10
    Zimbra is OSS

    Please help me.

    Thanks,

    Anthony Fenech

    Take a look in /opt/zimbra/log/mailbox.log
    for anything there.

    Thanks for the reply!

The log file you mentioned is where I found the error "(Delivery temporarily suspended : lost connection with mail.xxxxxxxx.com while sending end of data -- message may be sent more than once)" Is there anything else I am missing?

I'm sorry that I haven't been quicker with the reply. If you need you, you can always shoot me an e-mail jholder@zimbra.com

Can you verify that the domain is being looked up correctly?
ie, from the machine, do a dig on itself to make sure it's pointing to the correct location.

Then, is everything working? zmcontrol status
Is DNS Lookups enabled, or disabled?

Yes DNS was working properly. This server had been running for 3 months with no issues. The issues happened after a power outage.

    Update.

I ran out of troubleshooting time. I set up a fresh install after uninstalling on the same server and it is working properly. I am still setting up all of the accounts though.

I did back up the zimbra folder so if anyone is interested in the problem, I can provide log files still.

    Thanks for trying to help,
