yeah, sorry. when I try to send TO user@eskinaproductions.com, I get that message. if i send FROM user@eskinaproductions.com, it either gets deferred (and the queue message is mail loops back to myself) or bounced back to the originating account with an error mail loops back to myself.

Although, mail sent FROM user@eskinaproductions.com to user@mechanus.org, does get through. However, user@eskinaproductions.com to user@eskinaproductions.com does not, and it dropped into the deferred queue.

I didn't see smtp.mechanus.org in your dns. Try using localhost as your webmail MTA.

If you want to private msg me some of the email accounts on both sides, I will play around with it a bit today.

getting back to reply to this, gmsmith pointed out the error. maybe i should stop doing this at 2am, and the problem was a simple typo in the domain name next time i'll check spelling before asking for help!

ooops! spoke too soon. i hadn't had a chance to check the deferred queue since we did the changes Wednesday/Tuesday. Seems that there's still the deferred email problem - but now going outside of the two domains. I can send email from, let's say rodolfo@mechanus.org to rodolfo@eskinaproductions.com and vice-versa, BUT, I cannot send email from either account to, let's say segleaur@gmail.com (or any other domain outside of the two hosted on the box). Email comes in to either domain (let's say external world to rodolfo@mechanus.org or rodolfo@eskinaproductions.com), but not vice-versa. i've changed both settings to either smtp.mechanus.org or localhost, but all of these get the same error of looping back.
    cheers,

    rodolfo

Check your hosts file to make sure it is formatted properly and you may want to click use DNS Lookups.
