Default Can't Access to Admin Console

    Hi...
After for a while, I managed to install Zimbra, successfully...at last :P

Anyway, I've a problem where I can't access my Admin Console via the web browser [It's installed in a local intranet server].

I did try type https://server.domain.com:7071/[I replaced server.domain.com with my own server domain], and even type the https://IP:7071 , and it's not working

    Any helps? Thanks

Is tomcat running? eg zmcontrol status ?

Also, take a look and see if anything is binding to 7071
    netstat -a

eliminate the possibility of other things in the way...can you get to it via a web browser on the same box zimbra is currently running on?

if so: firewall on that box? firewalls & routers between that box and where you were trying from?

Don't forget SElinux, a firewall & SElinux should not be installed on the Zimbra server.

jholder: Nothing is binding on port 7071...I've checked on Webmin, it stated my tomcat is running but zmcontrol status gives the opposite report:-
    antispam Running
    antivirus Running
    ldap Running
    logger Stopped
    logmysql.server is not running
    zmlogswatchctl is not running
    mailbox Stopped
    mysql.server is not running
    tomcat is not running
    mta Stopped
    postfix is not running
    snmp Running
    spell Running
mmorse, phoenix: I can't access zimbra on the server either ..I've disabled the firewall and SELinux too

Sorry for the late reply, and I'm kinda new though...thanks in advance!

Did you ever have access to the web client interface/sucessfull send and recieves of email?
-trying to understand if this crashed vs never installed correctly

Does your 'sucessfully above' just meant that you got through install.sh with no errors?

And the 'after a while' part...what was your your initial install troubles/issues with?
-Also when you write that it makes me think you attempted ./install.sh multiple times.
If this is brand new/you don't care about loosing any data; uninstall via:
"./install.sh -u" (and delete any possible remnants of /opt/zimbra)
    then reinstall

So you ran it at least twice...sometimes things just need a proper fresh install

ya, I thought that su switch thing was an FC and SUSE issue for ldap stuff only but who knows the ripple effects...(I assume you just commented out 'requiretty')

Well, if nothing is binding to 7071, then there's the problem (assuming you read it right).

You may want to post the output of netstat -a just to be sure.

If it really isn't binding, then port 80 probably won't bind either.

post your mailbox.log located in /opt/zimbra/log
