    Default viewing content offline?

I am an independent contractor with no "real" office. I am not always working in locations where I have internet access. Forgive my ignorance, but am I able to view my calendar, contacts, filed emails, etc. offline or must I be connected to access that information?

In a similar thread (titled "offline access" and dated 9-14), Kevin replied "For offline support we have IMAP and POP today. We are looking to expand this in the future with other options." I am not computer literate enough to have any idea what that means. Can you elaborate and/or clarify?

You can use any normal client for offline access. Outlook, Thunderbird, Eudora, etc. So you can download your mail to your local computer and access it off line. Same for calendar and contacts.
