    Default Importing users with dots

    Hi,

I am trying to import users to my new installed opensource zimbra installation.
    The users are like this:

    address.domain.tld

And this is the way it should stay for our current users.
All the users has set this already in their mail cliŽnts and it is not really the idea to change this(more than 800 users).

Is there a possibility to do this ?

What's the address section of your domain name?

    Well it is like this.

The mail adres is this: address@domain.tld
    But the user is: address.domain.tld
That's how it is right now, and it should stay that way if it is possible.

So just so I understand correctly, when you give out e-mail addresses to people, the address you give out is:

    myname@myname.domain.com ?

Will you be hosting multiple domains, or just one?

Yeah, I think you're going to have to use username@domain.com

It's because that's how LDAP parses out the username/container.

    mmm that's bad

That means that we have to tell the users (like 800) to change their e-mail client settings(and no they are not really computer nerds ).

There is not a possibility to hack it somehow, so it is possible to use the users with dots instead of 'at's(@)'.

Their is no other possibility to import the users in the way they are right now ?
So we have to use the 'new-style' user names ?
