    Done.

I'm not holding my breath however.

    Thanks,
Trust me I completely understand what you're saying; there's simply nothing more I can do from the forums perspective than encourage you to make a tagged support ticket. (I've also included a note on those two bugs linking to this forum discussion.) Like any company, we devote more engineering time to things our paying customers request. You can track the hundreds of new features (often directly linked to customer desires) in every version via PMweb.

Back to the original subject that Klug was helping you with - is there still anything that you need clarification on?

You can also use the blog process instead of backups if you'd like: /blog/archives/2007/10/moving_zcs_to_another_server.html
-Key is using the same ZCS version, and that process is also used for operating system platform changes, the magic is in step 3.

No, unfortunately the new server is running RHES-5, the old one RHES-4...

Thats fine, you can still use that blog process:
-Backup the old 4.5.x RHEL4 server
-Install the new RHEL5 server using the -s flag, using the same 4.5.x version.
-Move the rsync or whatever backup into place on the new server.
-Run the normal installer (aka it's 'upgrading').
-Make sure GID's & UID's match & run zmfixperms as needed if you didn't keep attributes on your backup process.
Alternatively you could: Backup, upgrade to 5.0.x first, then switch servers.

The NE backup changing server method(s) are outlined at the bottom of: /docs/ne/latest/administration_guide/10_Backup_Restore.14.1.html
