    Question Migration and ActiveDirectory auth

I'm trying to migrate users to Zimbra with AD authentication enabled against AD user accounts.

For example there's a domain user named 'zimbo' with the password 'zimbo'. I run
    Code:
     zmprov ca zimbo@mailer.company.com zimbo
ERROR: account.INVALID_PASSWORD (invalid password: too short)
As you can see it crashes out. I want to migrate and use AD for password authentication. Is there a way around this issue?

Without knowing what OS, build, etc that you're using ... as a quick responce: have you considered that you've got a mismatch on LDAP rules or SAMBA rules between your Linux and AD environments? Sounds like one environment likes 5-letter alpha passwords and another wants something more. Try googling this ... it's a common problem when integrating new, sophisticated Linux installs vs an older MS AD environment.

    Cheers.

'zimbo' is only 5 letters. Perhaps it really is too short? I would say it's quite common to have a minimum of 6 letter passwords.

    Edit:
Zimbra default settings is indeed with a minimum password of 6 letters. Check COS -> default -> Advanced.
