Cool [SOLVED] Zimbra to Zimbra Migration OSE

I am upgrading a server and I need to migrate all the account on the zimbra server from one to the other. I am currently running zcs-5.0.14_GA_2850.UBUNTU6.20090303170507

and will be upgrading to zcs-5.0.16_GA_2921.UBUNTU8.20090429045342

If it help I can upgrade the older server to 5.0.16_GA first.

What is the easiest way to move all the accounts/data??

This just seems fishy....Is there no open source backup tool to backup accounts and data and then just restore on new box?

    fishy....NO
    Free... Yes.

there are many ways to move stuff in OSS..if you search the fourms you will see.
link is the easiest way to move "whole" zimbra ..not just account and data

all its saying in the blog is practically copy and paste ..what more eaiser than that?

NE version of zimbra have backup tool..but to "move" the whole zimbra above is the easiest.

Change the IP as you normally would on a server, be sure up update the hosts file though. If you get stuck, have a look around the forums and wiki, it's been mentioned once or twice.

    Hello,

I have followed this thread: Moving ZCS to Another Server » Zimbra :: Blog for migrating my zimbra from an old machine to a new one.
But while i'm doing the rsync, it seems like it stoped before i manage to copy all data. But im not really sure.

    I'm using CentOS 5.1, Zimbra 5.0.14 OSE

How do i check wheather the rsync is succesfully copying all my data?

Why would it not have copied all your data? You could always do a comparison of the directories to see if they're the same.
