I've been asked by people upstairs to migrate accounts from Zimbra to Windows but to keep the mail server.
The new domain is called .local instead of the current one that is .com.
Accounts now exists in the local repository associated with the .com domain.
The new accounts are created in the external LDAP on the .local domain.
Whats the best way of migrating the mailboxes? One plan was to run an imapsync.
Now, I've added a new domain in my zimbra that authenticates with the Windows LDAP server, however, I've got some trouble. I can't seem to access the accounts that are associated with the external LDAP tree after adding the new domain. Is there any obvious reason for this? I was able to perform the account authentication test part but when trying to authenticating after this, it doesnt seem to work. I've been sniffing the traffic between the zimbra server and the LDAP server and it isnt even attempting to authenticate. However there was traffic when testing the authentication during the test phase.
Thankful for any suggestions.
