    Default Migrating 6.0.6 32 bits to 6.0.6 64 bits : alternative way?

    Hi all,

Firts, yes I know there are many howtos about this topic on the forums and yes I know about the wiki page covering this same topic. But I was thinking about this and I was wondering if it could not be done differently.

Am I missing something or the following might just work for migrating zimbra from 32 bits to 64 bits :

1 - stop zimbra on 32 bits server
2 - make tar of zimbra folder (to be able to role back in case a problem arrise)
3 - start ldap service alone
    4 - dump ldap
5 - remove zimbra debs on 32 bits server (to remove 32 bits binaries)
6 - make a tar again of zimbra folder that now contains only the confs and the data
7 - transfer last tar file to 64 bits server
8 - install zimbra's prerequisites and suggested prerequisites
9 - install zimbra's 64 bits debs on 64 bits server (to install 64 bits binaries)
10 - untar transfered tar file in /opt/zimbra on 64 bits server
11 - delete ldap 32 bits data except DB_CONFIG file from the 64 bits server
12 - import ldap data from ldif backup
    13 - Start the server.

Could it be just that simple? Or am I missing something important?

    Thanx for letting me know.
